Hi hyoklee After looking into it, we are not sure why you are seeing that error. It might be worth reporting this to the Panoply team: https://www.giss.nasa.gov/tools/panoply/. Currently, the best way to download these data is through Earthdata Search, we do have plans to add these data to AppEEARS ...

Hello ajwow We checked with the Science Team of this dataset and heard back the following: The MAIAC surface BRF CMG data are aggregated from the 1-km surface BRF product through a selection process rather than averaging.
