Correlative plot

Hi again,I have a few questions to interpret the information from the Correlative Plot tool in SeaDAS, when used with chl-a product, satellite derived and in situ data:1) The Box size: this selects the number of pixels (box size of 3, means a 3x3 box of pixels) from which the derived satellite value...

Algorithm calibration using in situ data

Hi Lachlan,Thank you for the interest. Kindly find below answers to your questions. 1. Are you working in optically complex and/or shallow conditions (i.e. coastal waters)? R/ I'm working in an in-land water body in Central America, it is deep, about 300m at its deepest point, but relatively sma...

Chl-a results for OLI data

Hi again,Using Math Band and following Hu et al 2012 Chl_OC4 algorithm I generated a Chl-a product. I got extremely high (no real) values in the areas with more presence of Chl-a, per optical image. Another disagreement is that in the areas with lower Chl-a concentration both products do not match, ...

Importing SeaBASS data into SeaDAS

Thank you , Chris.

That did it. I think it was the manipulation in a spreadsheet. Thank you!
To use the 'Pixel extraction" tool the format is different right?

All the best,

I have tried both. Regarding the .txt file I managed it in excel first to save it in my computer as .txt.

Chl-a results for OLI data

Thank you, Danny.

I did modify the chlthreshold to 200 e.g, but still got the same results. Do you have any recommendations about which thresholds to modify?

Bes regards,

Africa F.

Algorithm calibration using in situ data

Hi,Is it possible and if so what are the steps to update Chl-a algorithm coefficients based on in situ observations in SeaDAS?I just see tools to compare Chl-a values between satellite image and in situ observations. There is also a tool to extract pixel values based on coordinates. With that info, ...

Importing SeaBASS data into SeaDAS

Hi,I'm having trouble importing SeaBASS data into SeaDAS. I make sure I have an image that overlaps with the SeaBASS observations I have downloaded. I have double checked file formats and still, the data do not load. The only solution I got was to convert SeaBASS data to a shapefile.  Just want to m...

Thank you! For one image I got two reasons for this, Chlorophyll algorithm failure and Chlorophyll out-of-bounds (<0.01 or >100 mg/m3).For another image where Chl-a was higher, I got more no data values, this time due to atmospheric correction failure, exactly at the higher Chl-a concentrations poin...
