How to cite deleted datasets?
Hi, We have some datasets in the Earth Engine catalog that are too old and are by now deleted from DAACs - eg, MODIS Ocean Color (https://developers.google.com/earth-engine/datasets/catalog/NASA_OCEANDATA_MODIS-Aqua_L3SMI#dois). Their DOI links like https://doi.org/10.5067/AQUA/MODIS/L3M/CHL/2018 no...

CMR has missing years for some Ladsweb datasets
Hi, We found that for a couple of concepts ids, CMR doesn't return all the files that we can see on https://ladsweb.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/archive/allData 1. For VNP03MODLL.002 (C2545310947-LPCLOUD), CMR (https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov/search/granules?p=C2545310947-LPCLOUD&pg[0][v]=f&pg[0...

Re: No granule identifier in GRACE CMR entries
Thank you, Wenhao. We'll try this now, but isn't there a standard regarding how these results are formatted?

No granule identifier in GRACE CMR entries
Hi, When we parse CMR entries, we look for the file basename (which I think CMR calls "granule identifier"). For example, in https://cmr.earthdata.nasa.gov/search/granules.umm_json?downloadable=true&collection_concept_id[]=C2723754851-GES_DISC&page_size=1&revision_date[]=2023-0...

Re: [MCD19A2] Band dimension variations for different subcategories
Thank you, this was simply us using an incorrect subdataset string.

[MCD19A2] Band dimension variations for different subcategories
We ingested MCD19A2.061 recently, we observed that for a few files the band dimensions are different for different subdatasets. For example, in the case of MCD19A2.A2020092.h16v00.061.2023136094901.hdf HDF4_EOS:EOS_GRID:"MCD19A2.A2020092.h16v00.061.2023136094901.hdf":grid5km:Optical_Depth_...

IMERG early and late v7?
Hi, I'm trying to update IMERG in Earth Engine from v06 to v07, but I'm confused about the new nomenclature. According to https://gpm.nasa.gov/data/directory, IMERG Early and Late have been updated to V06D, and IMERG Final Run is undergoing retrospective processing and is being updated to V07. I see...

Re: New TOMS/OMI ozone location?
Thank you, @jejohns1!
I see that files at https://acd-ext.gsfc.nasa.gov/anonftp/toms/omi/data/ozone/Y2023/ are back too!
What would you would be the best OMI ozone dataset to be ingested into Earth Engine? We don't mind switching to reading HDF5 files if the data there are in some sense better.
