Re: SeaDAS 8.3.9 MacOS version bugs
Thank you for your feedback. We are still working on getting SeaDAS fully compatible with Mac OS 13 Ventura. SeaDAS 8.3.9 contains most of the fixes but is a temporary release. We are planning to release a Mac only SeaDAS 8.3.10 (possibly later this week or early next week) which fixes some more of ...

Re: Failure to install install_ocssw.py in MacBook Air (M2, 2022)
Make sure you are using the latest ocssw installer. Download it according to the instructions on this page: https://seadas.gsfc.nasa.gov/downloads/ Your file should be "install_ocssw" and not "install_ocssw.py" so my guess is you have an older installer file. Also you don't run t...

Re: L2Gen ifile warning
Please show the full file name so we can know whether it is a file from a mission supported by SeaDAS. I'm guessing it is Landsat (8 or 9) OLI. You can determine whether a mission file is valid using the "obpg_file_type" command at the command line: For example: obpg_file_type LC08_L1TP_01...

Re: SeaDAS 8.3.9 MacOS version bugs
Due to upgrading to use newer Java versions to support Mac OS 13 Ventura, there are issues with the Help system regarding accessing it by clicking on a "?" in a tool. Fortunately, however all the help pages can be accessed through the SeaDAS menu system. Menu > Help Contents". Regardi...

Re: SEADAS pixel extraction
Yes you can import county/state boundaries and you can also export pixels for a particular region. To import county/state boundaries you will need to find an ESRI shapefile from an external source which contains the geographic boundaries. For instance this site contains a shapefile of all the counti...

Re: how can i export mask pixel in seadas 8.2?
This appears to be a bug in this particular tool specific for level3 files. A workaround seems to be that after you have created the masks in your level-3 file then you can save the file by right clicking on the file name and selecting "Save Product". This will convert your file into a BEA...

Re: how can i export mask pixel in seadas 8.2?
Could you clarify further specifically what you are trying to do and the steps which you are doing that fail? I don't see anything wrong with the screenshot image in your post. Here's some possibilities: * If you wish to export data in text format use Pixel Extraction Tool (Raster > Export > Export ...

Re: Density slice
SeaDAS does not have a Density Slice tool. You can adjust the Min/Max values within the Color Manipulation Tool, which would have the effect of creating a single "color slice". If you wish to have multiple views ("slices") of a single band using differing Min/Max color settings, ...

Hi Amita, SeaDAS bands cannot be grouped into folders by selectively highlighting them. However they can be grouped by specifying a colon delimited string mentioned earlier in this thread. SeaDAS additionally supports the use of the wildcard character "*" for grouping bands. To create the ...
