OCCSW binary compatibility in Linux
Dear Support, In the past, the OCCSW binary version can run on our cluster, so it's not hard to install. But, the recent T2024.16 requires glibc >= 2.37 on the system level which I'm unable to upgrade. I have to build the program locally, and it was not straightforward. I did retry too many times an...

T2024.15 l2gen for PACE-OCI L2
Dear Support, Regarding process of PACE-OCI data by ocssw: (1) does the release tag V2023.3 support it? (2) have T2024.15 installed, have one simulated data file downloaded from https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi/getfile/PACE_OCI_SIM.20220320T175448.L1B.V11.nc, by running the command l2gen ifil...

Re: Cannot install SeaDAS 8.4.1 with the Linux installer script
Inspired by your case, I checked my environment and found it was actually $DISPLAY not set which stopped my installation process. Case solved, thank you! In spite of that error (ler: command not found), SeaDAS still installed fine for me on CentOS 7. [xxxx:/tmp 1003]$ sh seadas_8.4.1_linux64_install...

Cannot install SeaDAS 8.4.1 with the Linux installer script
Dear Support, For simulated PACE files, for instance, https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/getfile/PACE_OCI_SIM.20220320T000229.L2.OC_AOP.DITL.nc, I found SeaDAS7.5 was not able to read variables like Rrs. SeaDAS8.3 could but matched the wrong set of wavelengths. SeaDAS8.4 was able to read Rrs and co...

File Search -- Subscription -- Error page
Dear Support, Where I found the issue? https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/api/file_search/, when doing 'search by subscription' and input any of ID on use: e.g. 1065, I got an error page. shell command: curl -d "results_as_file=1&sdate=2024-02-04 00:00:00&edate=2024-02-10 01:29:01&...

Re: how to run l2gen for PRISM?
Maybe l2gen needs an L1 file instead of L2 file as input? However, I got this file from nasa server, it's labelled as L1B, and it's placed under Level-1B folder. https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/getfile/PRM2017147131440.L1B.nc https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/directdataaccess/Level-1B/PRISM/2...

Re: how to run l2gen for PRISM?
"Input file PRM2017147131440.L1B.nc is a NetCDF4 PRISM L2 file" indicates that l2gen thinks that PRM2017147131440.L1B.nc is a NetCDF4 PRISM L2 file You are right. But why did l2gen crash right after that? I tested l2gen command for aqua without any problem in my environment. Thanks again ...

how to run l2gen for PRISM?
Dear Support, My purpose is to derive Rrs from PRISM L1B files. I made a simple try with this file https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/getfile/PRM2017147131440.L1B.nc, but no luck. ####################### $ l2gen ifile='PRM2017147131440.L1B.nc' l2prod='Rrs_vvv' ofile='test.L2.nc' Loading default par...
