Re: Aqua MODIS L1B processing problem (since 2024-04-01)

Hello again, Outside of this forum Liam Gumley just advised that there was a problem with the Reflective LUT V6.2.1.90_OC_v2.14 which has now been corrected. I found I had to delete my local copy first before update_luts.py would fetch the updated one, but with that done the updated file was downloa...

Aqua MODIS L1B processing problem (since 2024-04-01)

Hi, Since around 14:00 2024-04-01 all our MODIS Aqua L1B processing fails with error message (in LogReport): TDLUT_ReadPeicewiseLinearFunction():MODIS_F_NOK:295817224 LUT associated with “m1” has times out of order. As far as I can tell the LUTs were last updated at the end of October 2023 (to MYD02...

Terra direct broadcast data outage?

Since 2024-03-08 23:11 all Terra passes scheduled for reception at Lauder, New Zealand, appear to have no signal -- is there a known issue with the Terra direct broadcast feed at present? I've seen no announcements recently.

Re: Recent Terra LUTs don't work with older l1bgen code

BTW, that is not an artefact of that particular satellite pass -- I have tried many files from the last 6 months or so with the exact same result.

Recent Terra LUTs don't work with older l1bgen code

Hi, Our production servers used for near-real-time processing of locally received Aqua and Terra MODIS data still run OCSSW v7.4. Recently I noticed that the Terra LUTs had not been updated for a while (Aqua were up-to-date, but not Terra for some reason), so I ran update_luts.py manually which upda...

Re: missing NCEP file for doy 058

Further, I now find that the files are also available via the usual getfile url: https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi/getfile/<filename> but still not showing in the search utility results. This is a problem since I have previously been advised (Sean Bailey) to use the search utility in preferenc...

Re: missing NCEP file for doy 058

To clarify, these files are not reported as available via the oceandata search utility: https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/api/file_search nor are they visible on the direct access web page https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/directaccess/Ancillary/Meteorological/2022/058/ Following advice in respo...

missing NCEP file for doy 058

Hey guys,

any thoughts on the missing 00 & 06 NCEP met files from 2022-058:

N202205800_MET_NCEP_6h.hdf
N202205806_MET_NCEP_6h.hdf

this is causing an outage in our reprocessing... ;-)

cheers

All PM1ATTNR files missing between 2020229.1000 and 2020246.1600 (inclusive)

OK thanks for the information John.

For the record, our receiver at Lauder has good coverage of the Tasman and South West Pacific, reaching down to the Southern Ocean.
