Re: No Java JRE when installing SeaDAS 8.2.0

I have attached a picture of the warning. believe this warning should not be there if the Java JRE is supplied during the installation. I ignored the warning and proceeded with the installation. SeaDAS seems to work normally the tab are not shown clearly and the bottom of the characters are not disp...

No Java JRE when installing SeaDAS 8.2.0

I am trying to install SeaDAS 8.2.0 with 'sh seadas_8.2.0_linux64_installer.sh'. However, it tells me there is no Java Development Kit available even after I installed Java 17 OpenJDK on Red Hat 8. The java command version is: openjdk 17.0.2 2022-01-18 LTS OpenJDK Runtime Environment 21.9 (build 17....

getanc places some data in non-standard folders

Starting August 19, 2022 the scripts gatanc.py (SeaDAS 7.5) and getanc (SeaDAS V2022.0) started to store some ancillary data in unconventionally named folders. The usual storage is .../ancillary/<year>/<day-of-year>. Note that the behavior is the same with 7.5 and V2022.0 and that the processing is ...

Re: modis_atteph.py usage

Sorry about the initial submission. I noticed I set the stop time 5 hours after the start time instead of 5 minutes. I assume it cause a problem if the period is too long. I have another question. I tried modis_atteph.py as follow: /usr/local/seadas/7.5/scripts/modis_atteph.py --mission=terra --star...

modis_atteph.py usage

Hello, I am trying to understand how modis_atteph.py works. I have an example below. When I enter a date/time close to the current time, it gives such an error. Is there a URL or a manual that explain the algorithm or at the very least the exit codes? Especially when the increase in latency causes p...

Question: How to create VIIRS L1A from L0?

Re: How to create VIIRS L1A from L0?

Thanks Sean,

I have a customer who wishes to process SNPP and JPSS-1 DB in near real time. Their latency requirement is around 45 minutes. Is there a way to do this?

In any case I would also like to test the VIIRS chain, where can I get the SNPP and VIIRS L1A data?
