When using wget to download more than one file, you can put all the urls (e.g. https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/ob/getfile/T2017004001500.L1A_LAC.bz2) into a txt file (such as required_files.txt), then use the following ...

Re: MODISL2 hdf to tiff and reprojection

Hi,

Do you mind providing more information about the MODIS L2 data that you are using? Where did you download the file? What is the original MODIS L2 filename?

Thank you,

Re: how to read data from meteorological data in ocean color auxilary file using python

Are you referring to the meteorological climatology data (met_climatology_v2014.hdf from https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/ancillary/)? For this file, yes, there are 12 months' data. For all the months from Feb - Dec., the different parameters' name should include "_Month", such as &qu...

Re: How can I know the resolution of this dataset

The spatial resolution for L2 JPSS-1/NOAA 20 is 750 m. On this webpage (https://www.nesdis.noaa.gov/current-satellite-missions/currently-flying/joint-polar-satellite-system/jpss-mission-and), it says JPSS covers the entire globe twice a day. You can always find the spatial resolution and much more i...

Re: Sentinel-2 with l2gen

Hi, The error happens because Sentinel 2A MSI lacks a band around 412nm, which means QAA (https://www.ioccg.org/groups/software.html) is not applicable to MSI. It requires 5 bands in total (412,443,490,555, and 670 nm) but MSI only has 4 of them. My suggestion is changing the iop_opt=3 to iop_opt=7 ...

Re: CDOM retrievals with SeaDAS from ACOLITE derived Rrs

Dulci,

Unfortunately, you can only use OCSSW l2gen to produce adg from level 1 data (l1c for sentinel 2).
Here is the algorithm description for IOP including adg443:

Re: Water quality data

I just did a search on the L1/L2 browser, it works. Can you try again? We had worked on restoring the OB.DAAC L1/L2 database in the past several days. Probably that was the reason.
