Re: Difference at 4 decimals of geolocation files
Hi LAADS folks, Thank you for replying my post. Sorry for the confusion. I mean other MODIS products in OB like L1A whose locations rely on these geolocation files. For example, if I use geofiles from OB to select region of my interest in L1A from OB, can I get the same ranges of scan numbers and fr...

Difference at 4 decimals of geolocation files
Hi , I found the geolocation files from OB and from LAADs that have the same timestamp, usually have slight difference since their 4 decimals. It seems this difference is within the allowed accuracy of 0.1 pixel, after I read the ATBD of geo-location. But I'm not sure I understand it correctly, and ...

Some missing Aqua MODIS GEOfiles between 2009110-2009122
Hi folks at OB.DAAC,
I find between the day 2009110 to 2009122, every day there are several aqua MODIS geofiles missing, most of which ought to be night time granules. Could you check it if possible?
Cheers,
Hanzhi

Missing a few granules of Aqua GEO on 2014001
Hi OBDAAC folks, For the day 2014001, the aqua geo-location file list on OBDAAC shows 286 files, while on LAADs for the same day, there are 288 geo-location files. Then it seems there might be two granules missing on OB.DAAC? I just randomly picked up a day for completeness check on aqua geolocation...

download MYD03 from LAADS' OPENDAP with wget
Hi, I tried to follow the wget syntax provided on LAADS to bulk download one day MYD03 hdf files from LAADS opendap, but it failed by downloading many .dap, .dds etc. files other than the hdf format of these granules. I was wondering if there is a wget template or example for bulk downloading hdf fi...

Have all Aqua nighttime GEO files been published on OB.DAAC?

Today I just found there are two day available geo files for Terra in 2022, and available nighttime geo files for Aqua for many days. I was w...

Find swaths in L1/L2 browser
My plan is to find all L1A of MODIS Aqua that contain any part of my area of interest, i.e. a L1A could be counted even its one frame is in my area of interest. In L1/L2 browser, I suppose the "select swath containing (at least)... " option could help me accomplish this goal. However, I'm ...
