Re: Questions about CERES GEO dataset.

Sorry for bothering you again. But what do you mean "requires that all five geostationary satellite have the same version"? Specifically, for example, the time coverage of SatCORPS GOES13 is from 2008 to 2017, but changed to version 1.2 in 2015. If I want to analyze all the data of GOES13,...

Questions about CERES GEO dataset.

What's the difference of version 1.0 and version 1.2 in some satellites of the CERES GEO dataset? Such as GOES-15 and GOES-13.

I also notice that the version always changes in 2015 and there are some overlapping periods in two versions. Which version shoud be used in the overlapping periods?

What's the difference between GPM_3IMERGHH_07 and GPM_3IMERGHH_06

I find that GPM_3IMERGHH has been updated in July. Are there any numerical changes in the repeated time period of the seventh and sixth editions? If not, sould I cite version 07 instead of 06 when I just use the repeated time period 06 product?

Re: How to identify multi-layer cloud in SatCORPS?

Thanks for your warmest help! In your discription, every cloud pixel represents cloud. Does every cloud pixel mean cloudy condition? Are there variables directly or indirectly offer cloud fraction information? ( indirect index may be like variables about clear sky? ) Another question: what does the ...

How to identify multi-layer cloud in SatCORPS?

There is no multi-layer flag in CER_GEO_ED4_HIM08_NH_V01.2 (or SH) product. I was wondering how to identify multi-layer cloud in this product? Or did they exclude multi-layer cloud from original retrievals?

Which band is used in particle size retrievals in SatCORPS?

I'm wondering which band is used to retrieve particle size (cloud effective radius) in CER_GEO_ED4_HIM08_NH_V01.2 (or SH), 2.3 or 3.9 μm? It uses SatCORPS algorithm from NASA Langley Research Center. Furthermore, are there any existing documents or literature mentioned the band so that I can refer to?
