Re: VNP46A3 off-nadir viewing angle

Thank you for your response. Let's say I use one daily image and not the monthly composite, is the equation I posted correct?

d/cos(θ)

where cos(θ) is the sensor's VA and d is the PSF at the (near) nadir.

VNP46A3 off-nadir viewing angle

Hi, I'm using the VNP46A3 data. My task is to downscale the near-nadir (NN) and off-nadir (ON) products and measure the impact of the viewing angle (VA) on the blooming effect (or PSF) from a geometric perspective. Let me explain. If I project a viewing cone from nadir the footprint (support) is cir...

Re: NASA's Black Marble monthly data: Reprojection isn't accurate

Thank you for the reply and I apologize for my late response. I found a very handy package in R that takes care of everything (reprojection, clipping to the desired extent, download daily, monthly and annual products etc). It called blackmarbler (https://github.com/worldbank/blackmarbler).

NASA's Black Marble monthly data: Reprojection isn't accurate

I downloaded NASA's Black Marble monthly nighttime light NTL data, VNP46A3. Ι am trying to set the projection to EPSG:4326 but the resulting product (All_Angles_Snow_Free) seems to go go way off. For example, I wanted to download NTL data for the city of Mumbai, India. After reprojecting the NTL (pr...
