Re: l2gen failed for specific PACE/OCI L1B file
I tried processing the L1B file again (with atmocor=0 this time) and kept an eye on memory usage while it was running. My linux box never approached a memory limitation, but l2gen failed with the same error message. Since this was one failure out of many successful runs, and since Sean kindly provid...

Re: l2gen failed for specific PACE/OCI L1B file
Hi Sean, Hmm. It's after 9pm on a Friday. I was assuming that someone would maybe look at this sometime on Monday. 😏 Sorry to be a bother. It's not a disk space issue since my script successfully processed several more L1B files to L2. Memory could be a possibility. I do sometimes push my Linux box ...

l2gen failed for specific PACE/OCI L1B file
Hi, I'm not sure if this is a question for Don, Tommy, or someone else. I was processing a set of 34 PACE/OCI L1B files with l2gen [msl12 9.11.0-V2025.1 (Jan 30 2025 23:47:26)] today. All of them except one processed successfully. The file that failed was this one. http://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov...

Hi Fabrizio,
Greetings from retirement!
Congratulations on your work. Thank you for the kind words, but you do not need to list me as a co-author. Some reference back to the OBDAAC and the forum might be useful for others who may want to follow in your footsteps, however.
Ciao,
Norman

- Question: Landsat OLI processing

Re: Landsat OLI processing
I'm guessing this may have to do with the fact that l2gen cannot process Landsat Collection 2 data yet.

Re: l2gen failing while loading user parameters for VIIRSJ1
Thank you Bing. That seems to be working. I figured I was doing something silly. Interestingly, I had the command line coded that way in a script I use. Perhaps I inadvertently chopped out the "file" portion of "parfile" the last time I edited the script. I hope you are well. Tha...

l2gen failing while loading user parameters for VIIRSJ1
Hi folks, I'm probably doing something stupid here, but I'm pretty sure this command sequence has worked for me in the past. I have these input files. $ ls -l V* -rw-rw-r-- 1 norman norman 45683223 Feb 20 10:43 V2022051083600.GEO-M_JPSS1.nc -rw-rw-r-- 1 norman norman 464234144 Feb 20 10:35 V20220510...

Re: Landsat-8-9 collection 2 L1 data processing in SeaDAS
I understand that ocean color missions take precedence over Landsat, but I would also like to express my interest in Landsat-Collection-2 processing capabilities with l2gen.

Hi Sean,
That worked like a charm.
I'm guessing you are still at the top of the leaderboard of forum responses. I'm sorry to add to your load, but I very much appreciate the help.
I hope all is going well in the OBPG.
