Question: Running simultaneous instances of multilevel_processor.py

Re: Running simultaneous instances of multilevel_processor.py

Ted, You've stumbled upon an issue that's been a thorn for a long time. The problem is that the MODIS scripts use non-unique temporary files, so running more than one instance at a time will result in disaster....well disaster may be too strong, but at least a not nice situation. We have it on our t...

Re: SeaDAS inconsistency

As to the apparent navigation issue, I suspect what you are seeing is missing data not that the pixel is on land in some L3 files. The L3 grid is consistent, even at monthly scales, it is quite possible for bins (and subsequently mapped pixels) to not be filled.

Re: MERIS name convention and processing

Chuanmin, We will be removing access to the older files soon and the newer filenames will remain as they are, as those are the names ESA gave them. As for the beta status for SeaDAS 8, that is only for the visualization component. The OCSSW component is quite mature and I would recommend you use it....

Re: Question about OCSSW_bash.env

With SeaDAS 8, most of the python scripts are now 'installed' under $OCSSWROOT/bin and have had the '.py' extension removed. The getanc.py script is one of those, so you can simply drop the .py from the call and it should work.

Re: Seadas 8 not responding after install

I am getting the error "/Users/seadas/ocssw/src/l2gen/l2_generic.c line 458: product angstrom_1609 not found." Any thoughts? The code only supports angstrom derived from visible and NIR wavelengths. You could simply select angstrom (as you have done) without wavelength specificity. This w...

Re: BRDF correction l2gen

Anna, Yes to both. The input option brdf_opt controls this: brdf_opt (int) (default=-1) = Bidirectional reflectance correction 0: no correction 1: Fresnel reflection/refraction correction for sensor path 3: Fresnel reflection/refraction correction for sensor + solar path 7: Morel f/Q + Fresnel solar...

Re: OLCI Vicarious Calibration Coefficients

Anna, We've not released our "official" L2 processing yet (soon, I promise :D ), but if you want to use a set of gains for OLCI S3A consistent with l2gen, try these: gain=[0.959728,0.972313,0.97156,0.96916,0.97636,0.97951,0.97705,0.975398,0.97344,0.97597,1.00562,0.9829,1.0,1.0,1.0,0.98989,...

Re: SeaDAS OCSSW Command line/Batch processing

To answer the original question about the missing environment variables, before running OCSSW programs from the command line you should source the $OCSSWROOT/OCSSW_bash.env file: $ export OCSSWROOT=<path to ocssw> $ source $OCSSWROOT/OCSSW_bash.env ...and yes, the MLP wrapper doesn't like keyword=va...

Question: What did I forget to install and where do I find it?

Re: What did I forget to install and where do I find it?

It's a bug. Well, a missing 3, really.

The modis_L1A_extract is missing the 3 on the python in the shebang line:
#! /usr/bin/env python

should be
#! /usr/bin/env python3

Add the 3 to $OCSSWROOT/bin/modis_L1A_extract and try again. I'll fix it in the repository so the next tag will have it.

Re: What did I forget to install and where do I find it?

Hmmm...the viirs.viirs_utils code is part of the "bin" install, no sensor specific bits necessary. You should have $OCSSWROOT/bin/viirs/viirs_utils.py...if that's not the case, something went awry not sure how that could have happened. If you don't have that viirs_util.py, try running inst...
