We at CDDIS are still in the process of populating our datasets into CMR, and as you have seen this collection has data starting DOY149 of 2022. The rest of the data is available at our archive, but not yet visible in CMR. The data are all available for download in a directory structure at this URL:...

What may be happening is that the Python Requests library is looking for your .netrc (or _netrc on windows) file in your home directory.
