From a suggestion on another thread I have reverted back to tag 2022.3 which seems to work.

I believe I resolved my issues related to setting the $OCSSWROOT variable and proper downloading of ancillary data. I am having the same issue with a segmentation fault when trying to process a Landsat 8 L1 file with both OCSSW V2024.1 and V2024.2.
