Re: How to read new MERIS L1 data?

Yes, we have since updated the L1B data to the 4th reprocessing, but the L2 and L3 data are still based on the 3rd reprocessing inputs. A reprocessing is in the works to regenerated the L2 and L3 data based on the newer L1B data. We will adjust the banner to clarify this. It seems that the SNAP read...

Re: How to create VIIRS L1A from L0?

I don't know. Probably. Ask the direct broadcast folks:

https://directreadout.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/

The L1A VIIRS data (but not the L0) are available from our data distribution site:

Re: Old leapsec.dat file on Ancillary site

Jess, The file is not old. In fact, there hasn't been a leap second since 2017. The reason the file is regularly updated is because the SDPTK code used by the MODIS geolocation code checks the time stamp in the header of the file (a timestamp it adds to the file) and will stubbornly refuse to work i...

Re: MODIS DR processing - migrating from SeaDAS v7.2 to 8.1

Question: Degraded Ocean Color data

Re: Degraded Ocean Color data

It is. There was an indication from the OMI/TOMS team that it was resolved about a month ago, but in our testing we identified a residual effect of the underlying cause. The bulk of the problem was corrected, but we are still waiting on the OMI/TOMS team to provide a fix for this secondary issue. .....

Re: How to create VIIRS L1A from L0?

The VIIRS L1A products we distribute are available as soon as we receive the L0 data. The L0 data are in orbit-based (nominally 90 minutes) which are replaced by 2-hour PDS files. The orbit based files are available with a sub-3hour latency and the 2-hour replay (and the official archive product) wi...
