Re: PIC Algorithms
Thank you so much! This is now a lot more enlightening to me. But I still have a doubt: on my data whenever I have high values of PIC, usually they are associated with low values of chlorophyll a. I see that in different regions of the oceans, namely Azores and Cape Verde, for example. So, shouldn't...

Re: How to average images with clouds and ignore these cloud pixels?
I used the expression you gave and I got a full white image with NaN pixels. Should I do chlor_a < 0 instead of chlor_a > 0?

How to average images with clouds and ignore these cloud pixels?
Hello everyone, I am trying to get a monthly climate mean using 20 years of, for example, January month. My problem is that out of the 20 imagery I have 15 that have a lot of clouds. When I averaged them in SeaDAS I got negative values almost everywhere which means the cloud pixels are being taken i...

Problems generating bathymetry masks
Hello everyone, I am trying to generate bathymetry masks and everytime I try to do it, SeaDAS stops creating the masks half way through it and I have to shut down SeaDAS in order to get it to work again, always without having success with the bathymetry masks. PIC Algorithms
Hello everyone, Usually PIC algorithms are related with coccolitophores. However, some species of zooplankton also incorporate CaCO3 in their skeleton so how can we be sure that the concentrations and/or variability of PIC that we observe in the satellite imagery (MODIS) reflect only phytoplankton (...

Problems with SeaDAS - Windows 11
Hello everyone, I started to use SeaDAS recently and unfornately I had to buy a new computer and this one comes with Windows 11. I had some troubles trying to add bathymetry-elevation and coastline, land and water masks which I was able to do easily in my previous computer (Windows 10). I started go...
