I just checked the server, the file has the correct xz extension: MOD00.P2018070.0140_1.PDS.xz
Is your code renaming it to bz2?

xz compressed, not bzip2
Our data provider changed to using xz compression for their long-term storage.
Our ingest code was not expecting it when we replaced some corrupted files with new copies.
I'll fix these on the server.
Thanks,
Tommy

Subscription problem?
The JPSS1 subscriptions are newly available and some of the subscription code had not yet been updated to support them.
You should be seeing the L2 files now instead of the erroneous L1 files. Sorry for the trouble.

It's possible that the repeated failures caused by this problem got your IP address blocked.
I'll check with the network admins.

I am able to reproduce what you are seeing.
We did a database server and software upgrade yesterday and are still dealing with some issues.
I expect access to these files and subscriptions will be restored shortly.
Thanks for your patience,
Tommy

For some reason a file found in L2 Browser in comming back as a html doc
