L1B problems
I can confirm and replicate this. We will look into it. It is mistakenly interpreting what follows "." as the file extension and lopping it off.For now, your choices are either: run from the GUI using the multilevel processor change "." to &q...

Opening MODIS MYD02HKM (500 m) / MOD02HKM (500 m) in SeaDAS
Hi Cassandra,Try SNAP (http://step.esa.int/main/download/)This is a new ESA tool which also uses the file reader that you need and this would use the latest version of the reader. If it does not work in SNAP, then try posting on both the SNAP and BEAM forums and hopefully they can get a fix in...

Please verify meaning of "Data Bins" global attribute in mapped L3 file
Barry, I was also quite happy with the original answer, though now we do know what data_bins actually means. Still I believe the original answer explains a lot about this. I'll try a follow-up answer. Bins near land but not land themselves, may be making it in to mapped pixels of eff...

Please verify meaning of "Data Bins" global attribute in mapped L3 file
The metadata of a mapped L3 file, "data_bins", is (I believe), the valid bin count that went into creating the mapped L3 file. However, a mapped L3 file does not have the same map projection as that of a binned file. Binned files are equal Earth surface area bins in a sinusoida...

Opening MODIS MYD02HKM (500 m) / MOD02HKM (500 m) in SeaDAS
Hi Cassandra,
How did you load these files into SeaDAS? You need to specifically tell SeaDAS which reader to use, by selecting from the menu File -> Import -> MODIS (MOD,MXD,MYD).
Please let us know if this works for you
thanks
Danny

geo-coding problem
A way of doing this on a file within the SeaDAS GUI is to detach the current geo-coding and attach a new one.Steps:1. Menu: Raster -> MathBand (Create a new band with for example expression = "LON - 180")2. Menu:Tools -> Geo-Coding Detach (if needed)3. Menu:Tools -> Geo-Coding Attach (Sele...

having a problem installing the OCSSW data processors
Why don't you just install OCSSW via the GUI? Delete the current ocssw directory and then go to Menu -> OCSSW and install from there.Your python and git versions are now correct so this should work from the GUI.If you are doing this from the command line then please show the command which ...
