In SeaDAS 8, we dropped .py for scripts. Can you try
"LD_LIBRARY_PATH= modis_GEO --refreshDB A2021152090500.L1A_LAC"?

In l2gen GUI, there is a products tab. In the "product selector" section, make sure you unwind rhos and check the rhos_859 box

Sorry that I was not clear. Can you use a text editor like vi or emacs to open /Users/catherine/Desktop/Seadas/ocssw/bin/multilevel_processor and change the 1st line from "#!/usr/bin/env python" to "#!/usr/bin/env python3"?

That is strange. However, I did find a bug in the multilevel_processor script. In /Users/catherine/Desktop/Seadas/ocssw/bin/multilevel_processor, can you change the 1st line "#!/usr/bin/env python" to "#!/usr/bin/env python3"? And run "Users/catherine/Desktop/Seadas/ocssw/bi...

If you don't use command line, you can get away with this warning --"WARNING!: An environment variable for OCSSWROOT exists which does not match the GUI configuration. The GUI will use '/Users/catherine/Desktop/Seadas/ocssw' as the ocssw root inside the GUI." You can fix it by adding these...

Can you do "ls -al /Users/catherine/Desktop/GOCI_L1/"?
I do get error like

Are your GOCI files in usr/Desktop/GOCI_L1/ or /Users/catherine/Desktop/GOCI_L1/?
Can you check by "ls -al /Users/catherine/Desktop/GOCI_L1/"?

Can you share the content of /Users/catherine/Desktop/Seadas/IO_OCSSW_PARAMS/ifile_list?
Were the other 6 L2 files created to your desired directory?
