Please rerun modis_GEO.py with the "-log" flag, then attach the resulting LogStatus file.

possible issue with v7.5 lut updater?

Hi, Simon -

I'm the "& co" who wrote that bit of code.  It used to work!  I'll look into it.

Thanks for the heads-up!

how to creat a file from L0 to L1 with code?

None of our code is secret.  You can view it here:
https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/ocssw/files.html

Each sensor formats its raw data differently, so there is a different set of L0 to L1A code for each sensor.  Look in src/l1* directories.

ERROR: geogen_modis failed to produce a geolocation file

The LogStatus file indicates:
No entry for file with LID 600020
This should point to the geolocation LUT.
I'd say to try "Update OC Processors" - but even I get the error described in the link gnwii gave.

MODIS "Missing datas"

Every satellite mission has occasional data outages.  Here is one site that tracks them for the MODIS and VIIRS instruments:
https://modaps.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/services/production/outages.html
That page notes, for instance, that MODIS Aqua was in safe mode from July 29, 2002 - August 08, 2002.

modis_GEO.py failing; no output; returns 0

Adding "--log" to your invocation will leave all of the processing log files in the output directory.  The LogStatus file is most likely to have useful diagnostics.
