Question: OCSSW ancillary data server unresponsive

Re: OCSSW ancillary data server unresponsive

Yes, it has been fixed :)
There are a lot of under the hood changes we've made - not all related to this problem, but allowed us to get past this problem. We believe the issue boiled down to a bad index on a database table.

Re: Chesapeake Bay Chlorophyll Concentration Data

The downloaded file should be named requested_files_1.tar. If it is "requested_files_1.tar@h=ocdist403&p=%2Fdata1%2F2040d000b1db6d6e%2Frequested_files.3" as your attachment indicates you passed to the tar command, it may be that you a) gave the tar command the wrong filename or b) the ...

Re: Modis L1A Extract: Error Locating Pixel/Line Range

Make sure the geofile name matches the basename of the L1A, if it doesn't, you can pass the geofile to the extractor with the -g option

Re: Managing Data Subscription - Renewal of ID 1886 3239 3238 3390

odd...
It's not completely off the rails, but I can confirm that it doesn't seem completely happy either.
I have renewed the two subscriptions you reported as due for renewal and I'll have someone take a look at the dashboard to see what cog is out of place.

Question: Rayleigh Correction

Re: Rayleigh Correction

It is *possible*, it's just not straight forward. Basically, you have to fool l2gen into thinking it is processing one of the sensors it knows how to process. You can create a "generic" L1B file (using the l1bgen_generic code), then manipulate the file to replace the Lt_<wvl> data sets wit...

Question: MBAC for MODIS

Re: MBAC for MODIS

Well, we did produce a set of vicarious coefficients for use when we fiddled with MODIS and MBAC. Amir Ibrahim was going to dig up the gains I sent him to use (and he still might), but just in case...here are what I *think* are the ones we used: +------+--------------+ | band | avg(g.value) | +-----...

Re: NASA OBPG server Unreachable Error for MODIS Processing

There is a known intermittent issue with slow response for several of the services on the oceandata domain in recent weeks which has been increasing in frequency. We have been investigating the problem, but do not yet have a resolution. It is a high priority for us, but given the intermittent nature...

Re: OCSSW ancillary data server unresponsive

Liam, Yes, there is an issue that we've not yet rooted out. While not an ideal solution, you can increase the timeout period with getanc (e.g. --timeout=90; the default is 30). It should never take 90 seconds, or even 30, or even 1, but it has been. We'll keep roto-rootering until we find and clear ...

Question: PACE OCI Bands

Re: PACE OCI Bands

Keep in mind, not all spectrally-dependent products are produced at the full wavelength set. For example, the remote sensing reflectance and inherent optical property products are produced for at most 185 wavelengths. The 286 wavelengths are only for L1B (which actually has 291, but a few are duplic...

Question: AQUA MODIS SST 4km

Re: AQUA MODIS SST 4km

Maria, There were modifications to the binning and mapping code that result in the difference you found. The SST algorithm was unchanged. FYI, we recently introduced a new version of the SST code that significantly improves code readability and maintainability. In that process a couple of minor bugs...
