Question: Seadas installation

Re: Seadas installation

It seems to me that you had ocssw installed in /opt/user/ocssw from SeaDAS 7.5. You may need to delete /opt/user/ocssw and then try ./install_ocssw -i /opt/user/ocssw –-seadas --modisa --tag V2021.1 There is instruction on Manual Installation in the middle of the download page: https://seadas.gsfc.n...

Re: "OCSSW is not accessible" (configuration problem?)

SeaDAS OCSSW processing on Windows is not yet supported in SeaDAS 8.0.0, but is coming soon. In the meantime, you can try SeaDAS 7.5.3.You can download it here: https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/SeaDAS/installer/7.5.3/ Here is on the SeaDAS-OCSSW client-server configuration (SeaDAS 7.5) for Window...

Re: getanc for GOCI from command line

It seems to me that you had ocssw installed in /Users/paul/seadas/ocssw from SeaDAS 7.5, and then had it overwritten when you "Install/Update OCSSW" through SeaDAS 8.0. Now you have two versions of ocssw mixed in that /Users/paul/seadas/ocssw directory. You might want to delete /Users/paul...

Re: getanc for GOCI from command line

Could you do "SeaDAS_OCCSW -> SeaDAS/System Info" and share the output here? Did you install ocssw through SeaDAS 8.0.0? It seems to me that you are running getanc.py from the old ocssw you installed through SeaDAS-7.5.3. Can you try to find the ocssw you installed through SeaDAS 8.0.0, ge...

Re: SeaDAS inconsistency

If you do "ncdump -h A20202752020305.L3m_MO_KD490_Kd_490_4km.nc", you will find there are a few global attributes with null value. For example, "ofile", "width" and etc in "input_parameters" group. There is a bug in SeaDAS 8.0.0 that reading such a file will f...

Re: SeaDAS inconsistency

You can attach the image here by click "Attachments" tab and "Add files" while you edit your post.

I can open L2 file A2020283185000.L2_LAC_OC.nc
but not A20202752020305.L3m_MO_KD490_Kd_490_4km.nc due to null global attribute value, which is a known issue.

Re: SeaDAS inconsistency

It might be helpful if you let us know what files you have trouble to open. Are they MODIS or VIIRS files? L2, L3b or L3m? SeaDAS 8.0.0 is a beta version, we do have some known issues and the fix will be in the next release. In the meantime, you can try SeaDAS-7.5.3: https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa....

Re: Modis product Problem in the SeaDAS

I downloaded all the KD_490 files you listed and was only able to open and display two of them A20040922004121.L3m_MO_KD490_Kd_490_4km A20112742011304.L3m_MO_KD490_Kd_490_4km. It's a known issue for SeaDAS 8.0.0 in reading files with null value attributes in metadata. The fix will be in the next rel...
