Re: Is there any algorithm description for SeaDAS OCSSW?
Those are algorithms for the products we are providing on ocean color website, which are also the product algorithms used in L2 gen. By algorithm description for SeaDAS OCSSW, what are you looking for? Different algorithms or how OCSSW works? Here is the link to the description and help page for OCS...

Re: absorption data due to gelbstoff and detritus at 443nm
Hi, We do noticed the issue and is looking for the reason. While waiting for the color bar to show up, you can also download the l3map files and open it in SeaDAS (https://seadas.gsfc.nasa.gov/) to manipulate the images - zoom in to your interested region, see the variation over time, and do further...

Re: wget download of order manifest not working
I think the problem could be from the bulk downloading you are trying to do. When using wget to download more than one file, you can put all the urls (e.g. https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/ob/getfile/T2017004001500.L1A_LAC.bz2) into a txt file (such as required_files.txt), then use the following ...

Hi,
Do you mind providing more information about the MODIS L2 data that you are using? Where did you download the file? What is the original MODIS L2 filename?
Thank you,
Guoqing

Re: how to read data from meteorological data in ocean color auxilary file using python
Are you referring to the meteorological climatology data (met_climatology_v2014.hdf from https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/ancillary/)? For this file, yes, there are 12 months' data. For all the months from Feb - Dec., the different parameters' name should include "_Month", such as &qu...

Re: How can I know the resolution of this dataset
The spatial resolution for L2 JPSS-1/NOAA 20 is 750 m. On this webpage (https://www.nesdis.noaa.gov/current-satellite-missions/currently-flying/joint-polar-satellite-system/jpss-mission-and), it says JPSS covers the entire globe twice a day. You can always find the spatial resolution and much more i...
