Reprojection onto ISIN grid

What files are you using?  Where do you get the files?  Are they files which are supported by the OCSSW processing code?  Can you use the OCSSW processors: l2bin, etc.?Although the Level-3 Binning Tool does use an ISIN binning algorithm, it ultimately produces a SMI geographic lat/lon...

How to calculate percentile amount of a range chl value

If you take a look at the individual level-2 scenes for May 2017 you will see a lot of clouds, straylight and glint, and consequently chlor_a cannot be determined. If the value cannot be determined for a pixel then that pixel gets no data and hence is marked as no-data.  There is nothing specia...

How to calculate percentile amount of a range chl value

Currently, the closest SeaDAS itself can come to doing statistics on bin files would be to take the bin file and run it through the OCSSW processor l3mapgen with the projection set to "raw", which is a raw dump of the bin file into the map file raster.  The resultant file can then be ...

How to calculate percentile amount of a range chl value

Hi,Statistics, regions, masking, and mapped files is not a subject which can be answered in brief.   The next release of SeaDAS will contain a substantially revised Statistics GUI and much more extensive documentation on the subject.  In the meantime, since I cannot yet refer you to t...

Can't Add bathymetry and elevation bands and masks

Your statement "In contour, It gives line for a range of chl-a value" is incorrect, unless I don't correctly understand your meaning.  A contour line is set to a specific value and not a range of values.  The GUI does have a range component, but this is a merely a user conven...

l2gen resolution 250 m

Yes, you are right, the modis_GEO step I mentioned does need to occur before the modis_L1B step.I noticed that you are using climatology default for your ancillary.  In order to get better atmospheric correction data specific to your scene and time you should be running "Get_Ancillary"...

Hello Cassandra,I don't quite follow this logic and where modis_L1B comes into play as you've described it.  On a side note and just to be clear "our" site is :https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi/browse.plor specific to your time of your file: https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa....

L1B problems

I can confirm this as a problem with loading L1B VIIRS files in SeaDAS.  In order for the SpectrumView tool which you mentioned to work, bands must have the Spectral Wavelength set.  The VIIRS file reader utility inside of the SeaDAS GUI is currently using a default generic function which ...

SeaDAS displays L3B images ?

SeaDAS is not designed (at least currently) to display the binned files (L3b).

You can however, process these files using SeaDAS (see the tools l3bin, l3mapgen)
