When you place your order, if you select "do not" extract my files, you will be presented with a list of URLs to download. That is where you can substitute GEO-M for L1A to get the GEO files. I passed your samoa question to our web admins.

Re: How to download global VIIRS L1A and geo data?
That is an extracted order. You can generate a geolocation file from the extracted L1A using SeaDAS.

Re: How to download global VIIRS L1A and geo data?
If you are not requesting regional extracts then you will get only the list of matching L1A file names returned,
That same list can then be used to get the GEO files by replacing the string "L1A" with "GEO-M" in the file name in the URL.

Re: Error 404 with file_search API
We are working through an issue that is causing intermittent external database availability problems. That is likely the cause of your 404s.

Re: VIIRS vs. VIIRS J1
That is correct. We only produce SST from MODIS and SNPP VIIRS. J1 VIIRS SST is currently being evaluated and may be available in the future.

Re: No New MODIS Files Available
There are no delayed data to recover. The spacecraft is in a safe hold state and no science data are being collected. If they are able to get the instruments back on line, data deliveries will resume at that point.

We lost a disk on the database server and processing has been halted while the RAID rebuilds.
Processing should resume shortly.

Re: Downloading SST monthly climatological only till 2017
The monthly climatology product is produced for the latest period available. If you want other periods, you can download the corresponding monthly files and composite them using a tool like SeaDAS.
