Co-located SST data set

Hello,

I wonder if a website refers to ocean color matchup data sets like Seabass / NOMAD etc. but for the sea surface temperature ?
I have my own data set but for MODIS-A daylight only and wanted to add some nocturnal data. However any sensors are welcome.

Re: How good are SST4/SST11 algorithms ?

Thanks for your the answer George. You are right, my good definition would be a distribution following the 1:1 line when we compare in situ and remote data, with something like +/- 3 times the % error associated to the in situ measurement. I would be happy with a SST algorithm returning +/- 1 °C com...

How good are SST4/SST11 algorithms ?

Hello, I started to work on MODIS-A SST (processed from L1 to L3m, saving SST(11 and 4), Vis/NIR/BTs reflectances (TOA/BOA)) for my area, the North Sea. When I look at a random map, let say the 20th of April 2005 (AQUA_MODIS.20050420T121505.L2.SST.nc, https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi/browse.pl?s...

Difference between Rhos and Rrc ?

Hello Minwei thank you,Sad we can't write proper equations, could you write it with one single fraction please ? It is a bit hard to understand the way you wrote it.Is it :( pi * ((Lt / (tg_sen * tg_sen)) - Lr)) / ( F0 * mu0 * tsol * tsen ) ?Sean wrote, https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/forum/oce...

Difference between Rhos and Rrc ?

Hello,

I wonder if there is a difference in what SeaDAS produces as Rhos and Rrc, the Rayleigh corrected reflectance used for FAI/AFAI algorithms.
Can you tell me the formula for both products (if they are different ?)
I would expect :
Rhos = pi * (Lt - Lr) / F0 * mu0, but I am not 100% certain.

Creating a 250m MODIS-A quasi true colour cropped image

I am using Seadas 7.5.1. The pixel textfields never autofill, no matter where I click. I did udate the OCSSW processor but the problem is still present, no autofill. Can I get the pixel values elsewhere and fill it myself to avoid the problem maybe ?Edit : I meant that the extractor seems to work and...

Creating a 250m MODIS-A quasi true colour cropped image

Hi Daniel thanks for the answer, however when I specify the box coordinates in the extractor tool, the pixels information are not automatically filled, and then I got an error :execution exception: java.io.IOException: l1aextract_modis failed with exit code 1.Check log for more details. This is versi...
