install_ocssw script can't find OCSSW_bash.env
Hello my friends in the OBPG, I just decided to reinstall the OCSSW software from scratch on my Ubuntu 20.04.3 machine to pick up all of the latest goodies (in particular, I would like to start processing Landsat 8 and 9 Collection 2 data), but I ran into a problem. The install script rolled merrily...

Re: MODIS 250m Processing and Composite Images
Hi Amita, I have found that rhos can differ substantially from one day to the next largely because of sun angle and scan angle effects. You can get a sense of this by viewing a what are essentially rhos-based images in Worldview. Here is a comparison of the Chesapeake Bay as seen by Aqua/MODIS on Ja...

About Aqua bands
Those stripes are a result of imperfect MODIS detector calibrations. They tend to be most pronounced in areas of sun glint. I have had success in reducing the striping by Fourier transforming the image and masking out the unwanted features in frequency space, but I am only making pretty ...

MODIS AQUA Quality Flags
I'm not sure what you are asking here. Are you referring to these flags?
https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/atbd/ocl2flags/
Those flag values are either on or off, making a difference computation somewhat meaningless.

Norman

OLI L2 data
Hi Amita,
There is a tool at the bottom of this page that might help you understand the l2_flags.
https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/atbd/ocl2flags/
Try entering 2112 in the field at the bottom right.

Norman
