Question: Pace data export

Re: Pace data export

You can export a file to GeoTIFF using SeaDAS. To do this, load the PACE LEVEL 2 data into SeaDAS. Select the file in the File Manager. Then go to "Menu > File > Export > GeoTIFF". Save it. To load the GeoTIFF back into SeaDAS go to "Menu > File > Import > Generic Formats > GeoTIFF&qu...

Re: Issue with SeaDAS pixel extraction

Your GUI indicates that you are trying to write to "E:\out" so you might want to make sure you have this output directory selected correctly.

Re: Issues loading sample OCI file

... Adding to my response. You can control your Mac file finder view permissions here "System Settings >> Privacy & Security >> File and Folders". Go here and unwind any java apps (which is what SeaDAS is using) and grant permissions. If this doesn't work, try putting your data files e...

Re: Issues loading sample OCI file

SeaDAS no longer supports pre-launch PACE simulation files. Regarding why no files show up in your SeaDAS finder, it is likely a Mac permissions issue on your particular directories. SeaDAS does support drag and drop (which could be a workaround for you). Your Mac should have prompted you for permis...

Re: Plate Carree Projection: No 'Coordinate Reference System' selected

This appears to be a bug where the Mosaic tool isn't recognizing "Plate Carree". I tested some other coordinate systems and they work fine. "Plate Carree" is actually exactly the same as calling the "Equidistant Cylindrical" projection with the "standard parallel 1...

Re: Failed to load filter sets

The latest SeaDAS release does not fix or claim to fix this issue of not being able to save user custom filters. We do hope this feature will be in a future SeaDAS release.

Re: Error in mosaicking OCM3 Level-2 scenes in SeaDAS

I believe the Mosaic may internally use GPT, so you might also compare the files: [SEADAS_HOME]/bin/gpt.vmoptions with [SNAP_HOME]/bin/gpt.vmoptions

Perhaps change the line for virtual memory to:
-Xmx8192m

Re: Error in mosaicking OCM3 Level-2 scenes in SeaDAS

Since it works in SNAP, you could compare the SNAP preference Performance settings with the SeaDAS preference Performance settings.

Re: Error in mosaicking OCM3 Level-2 scenes in SeaDAS

I'm not familiar with these L2 files, their sizes etc. You mention that you can mosaic a single band, but with all bands it fails. Likely it could be a memory issue. To boost virtual memory go in Preferences to Performance. If this doesn't work, one route would be that Mosaic is a tool developed by ...

Re: Error in mosaicking OCM3 Level-2 scenes in SeaDAS

SeaDAS likely doesn't support those files. You would need to determine if SeaDAS can recognize the geocoding. If you view a file and click the map gridlines, this is a good way to determine whether the geocoding is being recognized. If gridlines appear with sensible coordinate labels then the geocod...
