Re: R222 reprocessing schedule
Mati, There is no firm schedule, but a squishy one is as follows: S3A OLCI - soon-ish (maybe this week!) S3B OLCI - the week following S3A OLCI MODIS-Aqua - early May 2022? MODIS-Terra - the week after Aqua SNPP-VIIRS - late May/early June 2022? NOAA20-VIIRS - the week after SNPP-VIIRS OCTS, SeaWiFS...

Re: Why Kd490?
The diffuse attenuation coefficient is useful for estimating light penetration depth (which in turn is useful in productivity models, and radiative heating estimates, as well as other applications). Early estimates of water absorption (e.g. Hale and Querry, 1973) put the minimum absorption around 49...

Re: download using wget from http manifest
It seems that you requested the data be expired, so it was removed from our distribution servers. What you downloaded wasn't a manifest file, but the HTML error page (which was sent because the data no longer existed). You can check on the status of an order using the order manager (https://oceandat...

Re: Time of data capture
No. At Level 3 the data for a given bin can come from multiple orbits, or if multi-day composites, multiple days. Time of observation is therefore not meaningful to capture (nor possible).

Re: Difficulty processing L3 mapped CHL data
Not all the L3 mapped products are distributed as scaled integers. The chlorophyll product is store as floating point values, so no scaling is required. The equation you tried would only be necessary if the product was stored with a logarithmic scaling (rarely used - most products are linearly scale...

Re: Some modis_GEO.py 7.5.3 fail but not in modis_GEO T2022.2 anc.db issues
Brock, There was (still is until we can correct it) some missing metadata in our database related to some ancillary data. That was confusing the getanc script, having it pull a NRT ephemeris file instead of the definitive one. The newer getanc uses a different (and more robust) mechanism so was unaf...

Re: modis aqua data download interruption
Our records show that particular order was requested to be expired by the user. When that happens, the staged data are deleted. If you did this in error, you will need to order the data again.

Re: Annual climatology
An annual climatology (in the sense of how we generate monthly and seasonal climatologies) does not make sense, so we don't produce one. However, we do produce an annual product (means for a given year). If you can explain what it is you are seeking to accomplish, we may be better able to assist you...

Re: anc file always returns as HTML
The file exists and I was just able to download it (and it wasn't an HTML file). Try again, and if it's still an HTML file for you, crack it open and see what it says.

Brian,
The DB stored procedure issue has been resolved and getanc behaves as it should once again.
