l3mapgen/smigen redux
Morning, Don. Thanks. I'll see if I can figure out some place to post the bin file so you can grab it. New cyber-security protocols at work make it much more complicated than it used to be to share files with "outsiders." In the mean time here are th...

l3mapgen/smigen redux
Finally convinced that I need to switch to l3mapgen after (many, many) years of processing with smigen, I've started to take a closer look at the downstream consequences. Many of my analysis codes and ancillary files (e.g. landmasks, coastlines, bathymetry) use pre-defined areas of interes...

Selecting bands from different files for scatter plot?
Hi Danny. Thank you. In fact, I tried that but didn't get it to work, though it certainly seems like it should have. Most likely operator error on my part (not uncommon, I'm afraid). I appreciate you suggesting it.

Selecting bands from different files for scatter plot?
Thanks, Sean. Guess I finally have to try "Band Maths." Should be no problem with common geolocation; I'm just checking for differences between outputs from smigen and l3mapgen.

Selecting bands from different files for scatter plot?
Hi - This should be simple, but I'm not getting it. I want to create a scatter plot using bands from different files. This was easy in SeaDAS6.4 but in SeaDAS7.x the scatter plot GUI apparently (at least as I've been using it) only allows selection of bands from a single file....

Rrs_556 not found in default product list?
Thanks, Don. I'm sure you're correct. I've been using smigen for many, many years and I was hoping I could get away with it a little longer. I guess it's time to update some code! Barry

Rrs_556 not found in default product list?
Hi - Quick question. I'm playing with some VIIRS_JPSS data. I began with L2 files obtained from the archive. I created some L3 files, extracting the variable Rrs_556 (which clearly is in the L2 files). Now I want to create an L3 map, something I typically do by using smig...

Unable to get ancillary data/luts using scripts (or, this old guy needs help)
George - I'm sure I've said this before, but I really appreciate all the help I've gotten from you over the years. Your last suggestion worked perfectly and all seems well with respect to updates, getting ancillary data, etc.
Stay safe and healthy and many, many thanks.

Unable to get ancillary data/luts using scripts (or, this old guy needs help)
OK - call finally over. I'm afraid that I'm going to need more specific guidance on setting up a virtual environment for python. I'm surprised that if this is now required for running SeaDAS there isn't something like a detailed instruction set already available - or mayb...

Unable to get ancillary data/luts using scripts (or, this old guy needs help)
Hi George! How's that retirement going? :-)Thanks for the suggestions. I will be giving them a try (currently on an interminable conference call) shortly. I'm not really (at all) python savvy, so have to check that link you provided. I doubt that I am creating a...
