Re: How to load MODIS/Terra+Aqua MAIAC Land Aerosol Optical Depth Daily L2G 1 km SIN Grid (MCD19A2) using Xarray Python

Hello Unfortunately, we do not have a tutorial for working with MCD19A2 data currently. But you can try the code below. make sure you are using the correct group for this dataset. For this dataset "grid1km" and "grid5km" are valid inputs for "group". you can also choose...

Re: MAIAC Aerosol Type

Hi Jennifer, We were able to get the answer straight from the MODIS Science Team, and following is what they said: "If smoke/dust is tested for a given pixel, these bits will be set. Different AOD types correspond to different AOD model used in the algorithm, we use these terms interchangeably....

Hi,
The output tiffs should be scaled for point data, but for area samples they are not scaled. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Re: VNP21A1D.001 data availability

Hi,
Unfortunately, that delay is to be expected. The atmospheric input data used to process the MOD/MYD21A1 data sets are created monthly after the end of the corresponding month so there will always be that delay.
Thanks,
Brett

The 3 types are: 00=Background aerosol 01=Smoke 10=Dust Please see pages 10-12 of the User Guide for more information: https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/documents/1500/MCD19_User_Guide_V61.pdf Let us ...

Hi Kim-Cedric, The HLS providers are just beginning to process the pre-2021 Sentinel data into the HLS data set. The Sentinel 2 data has been reprocessed and is now compatible with the HLS. The plan is to begin with the 2020 data and work back to 2015. It is scheduled to be complete this fall. Thank...

Re: MODIS aqua and terra L0 data paused stagging since yesterday (1/15/2023)

Good Morning,
Do you have a particular MODIS data set(s) you are interested in? I am looking in our Data Pool and I do not see missing data, at least of the products I checked.
Thanks,
Brett
