SeaHawk/Hawkeye L1B geolocation issue
I am processing a Hawkeye image from L1A to L1B in SeaDAS 8.3.9 for Ventura using OCSSW tools. First, I process the GEO file: geolocate_hawkeye /Volumes/Megalodon/SeaHawk/L1A/SEAHAWK1_HAWKEYE.20230512T213239.L1A.nc /Volumes/Megalodon/SeaHawk/L1A/SEAHAWK1_HAWKEYE.20230512T213239.GEO Without any appar...

geolocate_hawkeye path bug
Was trying to look at the help for making GEO files for Hawkeye, and got this: $ geolocate_hawkeye -h geolocate_hawkeye 0.772 (Nov 28 2022 12:23:08) line 87 of /Users/dshea/ocssw/src/l1agen_hawkeye/geolocate_hawkeye.cpp: No such file or directory Looks like a hardcoded path to Don's machine. -Dirk

Re: Extract L1A MODIS SeaDAS 8.1.0 OCSSW
Thanks for the clarification on the OBC file. Makes sense. Also, I eventually found the SeaDAS/System Info in the OCSSW tools, thanks. Yes,I must have had a typo when I transcribed the pixels/lines from the lonlat2pixline output on the L1B to the extractor gui the other day. When I did it again it w...

Re: Extract L1A MODIS SeaDAS 8.1.0 OCSSW
Hi Bing, When extractor failed to extract A2021157174000.L1A_LAC, and lonlat2pixline could only read L1B, I tried converting it to L1B yesterday with the results above. Despite the error, it produced L1B_QKM and L1B_HKM files, but rather than a L1B_LAC, it created something I've never seen before, a...

Re: Extract L1A MODIS SeaDAS 8.1.0 OCSSW
I see. And yet, that raises another (possibly related?) issue. In all the OCSSW guis, the Load Parameters/Save Parameters and update luts buttons are greyed out. When I try to process that Aqua file to L1B, I get: execution exception: java.io.IOException: modis_L1B failed with exit code 1. Check log...

Re: Extract L1A MODIS SeaDAS 8.1.0 OCSSW
Thanks, Bing. Unfortunately, I am having the same problem with Aqua files: failure to autofill the Pixels fields in the extractor GUI, and failure to run lonlat2pixline. lonlat2pixline A2021157174000.L1A_LAC A2021157174000.GEO -76.5 39.2 -76 39.6 -E- /Users/dshea/focs/oel_hdf4/filetype/filetype.c Li...

Re: Extract L1A MODIS SeaDAS 8.1.0 OCSSW
(I meant l1aextract_modis, of course. Also, this appears similar to an older problem: https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/forum/ ... hl=extract)

Extract L1A MODIS SeaDAS 8.1.0 OCSSW
I've been having trouble with the OCSSW L1A MODIS extractor. Using the GUI, entering the Lon/Lat for extraction does not propagate to Pixels as expected and the extractor fails with: execution exception: java.io.IOException: l1aextract_modis failed with exit code 1. Check log for more details. This ...

Re: SeaDAS 8 install_OCSSW problem with python requests
Yes, you are right! There is yet /another/ python3 on this machine I was forgetting. Origin unknown. The links in /usr/local/bin ("python3" and "python3.9") point to usr/local/Cellar/python@3.9/3.9.1_1/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.9/bin/python3.9. And here is the thing:...

Re: SeaDAS 8 install_OCSSW problem with python requests
To follow up, Don and I were unable to trace the problem, but we did create a workaround. With my .bashrc and .bash_profile set up as they should be, update_luts (when called by install_ocssw) was and is calling a version of python that did not have the requests module. There are three pythons on my...
