Re: getanc places some data in non-standard folders
Thanks for reporting the issue. getanc.py(SeaDAS -7.5) and getanc(V2022.0) are returning a new set of ancillary files. The new filenames do not start with "NYYYY...", and getanc.py and getanc have trouble recognizing them. The bug was fixed. getanc will behave right in the next tag of OCSS...

Re: I cant read in the data from MODIS AQUA in R
I don't know if you are familiar with SeaDAS -- a comprehensive software package for the processing, display, analysis, and quality control of ocean color data. https://seadas.gsfc.nasa.gov/ You can use l3mapgen to reproject an L3b file to an L3m file and open it with SeaDAS --https://seadas.gsfc.na...

Re: MODISL2 hdf to tiff and reprojection
So MODIS_2008097_SWIR.hdf is the L2 file created by l2gen? What SeaDAS tool did you use to create the tiff file MODIS_2008097.tif?
Are you able to use the reproject tool in SeaDAS to create the GeoTiff file? https://seadas.gsfc.nasa.gov/help-8.2.0/desktop/Reprojection.html

Re: About nlw data output problem
I replicated your problem. Please make sure that your "selected products" on the "Products" tab in the l2gen GUI does not include nLw (nLw_1238 nLw_1604 nLw_2258 nLw_746 nLw_868 nLw_vvv are fine). Mine looks like this -- Kd_490 Rrs_vvv angstrom aot_868 chlor_a nLw_1238 nLw_1604 n...

Sorry that SeaDAS-8.2.0, as well as SNAP, does not support the Time Series tool.
