Question: Availability of NCEP and AURAOMI ancillary data

Re: Availability of NCEP and AURAOMI ancillary data

There have been delays in publishing the source files. We process them as soon as they are available. Our processing uses two consecutive granules so the missing granule for day 83 is preventing us from creating a file for day 83 and day 84. Day 85 is available and day 86 should be available shortly...

Re: Availability of NCEP and AURAOMI ancillary data

I have set the system to process and temporarily publish new MET_NCEPR2_6h and O3_AURAOMI_24h. They will show up the next time they are processed. Older files will be available via the file search. Please make the transition to the GMAO ancillary as this is a temporary fix.

Re: Coccolithophores L3 flag

The COCCOLITH flag is masked when binning Rrs at L3, but not when binning PIC

The ATBD for PIC is at:

Re: Zeu Lee AquaModis

Sorry no. I think you can still use SeaDAS to derive Zeu using the Lee algorithm. You can try asking in the SeaDAS section of the forum.

Re: How MODIS processed climatology data

Are you asking how the means are calculated or how chlorophyll-a concentration is calculated?

The mean values are the arithmetic mean of all of the monthly means for that particular month for the entire mission.

The algorithm we use is described here : Chlorophyll a (chlor_a; mg m-3)

Re: Not finding data in subscriptions

There was a 72 hour outage for our NRT data center so we switched to a different source that provides the files compressed with xz.
You can inflate them by running xz -d filename

Re: No recent oisst ancillary files?

CPC was directed to stop producing the Weekly SSTOI analysis in early December 2022. Two weeks after it stopped, there were complaints, so processing was restarted temporarily with the understanding that it would stop for good in early February 2023. The replacement for ODPS is: GHRSST Level 4 CMC0....
