The purpose of the converter tool is to generate files in GeoTiFF format which can be used in ArcGIS. Unfortunately, there is no other option available for this.

We are still working on the NRT geoMeta. We will let you know when it is fixed.

I just tried several granules of MOD04_L2, MYD04_L2, MOD04_3K, and MYD04_3K and was able to download without any issue. Can you try again and let us know if still cannot download and provide example of which granule(s) is giving you error.

The issue with ladsweb is resolved. Please, try again and let us know if you still have problem download data.
