Re: Seadas 8 not responding after install

We are scratching our heads. The lock file looks suspicious. I wonder what is in that file. You can try "rm ~/.seadas8/lock" before you attempt to open seadas8 on the command line. If frozen again, "ls -al ~/.seadas8" and check if the lock file show up. Or you can also try "...

Re: Seadas 8 not responding after install

After quitting seadas 8, did you try to open it again? Did it freeze again once you clicked "No"?

What does it say when you type "ls -al ~/.seadas8" on command line?

Re: Processing level 0 MODIS Aqua Product

Judging from the SeaDAS/System info output, I am not sure you have installed modisA processor correctly.

Did you do SeaDAS-OCSSW → Install/Update OC Processors as descibed in https://seadas.gsfc.nasa.gov/downloads/?

Here is the link you can find L1A files for December 23, 2008. The one corresponding to MOD00.P2008358.0950_1.PDS is A2008358095000.L1A_LAC: https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/MOD ... /2008/358/

You can also find other MODIS-Aqua files here:

Re: Processing level 0 MODIS Aqua Product

Can you do "SeaDAS-OCSSW -> SeaDAS/System Info" and paste the printout here?

Also, please give the specific L0 file name you are working on, so I can try to replicate the error.

As Sean pointed out in another post: "As the name implies, l2gen generates L2 files. We currently do not have an L1C processor."

Re: How to get the reflectivity from water by modis on seadas

Screen Shot 2021-04-07 at 5.58.21 PM.png You need to place the actual name of level-2file and file_to_attach in the command, like "ncdump -h A2015017054000.L2_LAC_OC > file_to_attach.txt". Then you can attach the "file_to_attach.txt" here by clicking the "Attachments" ...

The file you chose is at night, there is no sun, therefore no Rrs or Lw.
