I can reproduce the error on my desktop. I don't know why the API doesn't handle it better, but data day 2023 338 = 2023-12-04. The refined MERRA2 Ancillary data are released monthly, typically after the 21st of the following month, so it is too soon for December data. Try that query after 2024-01-2...

We processed both SNPP and J1 L2 out to Dec 1 2023 yesterday.
Where are you checking that you only see Sept 01?

Since R2022 we have switched to using the NRT GMAO FPIT and Refined MERRA2 products for our ancillary meteorological data.
I continued the NCEP data processing for a year to allow users time to make the transition.
We will no longer be staging the NCEP data.

In the past we have been told that Earthdata Login was for bean counting only and not to be used for user authentication.

There is a short attitude file that is preventing an L1A from processing. We are working on getting a replacement.
