They are not.
We are still waiting on a new release of the software that can handle the changed SST data.
I was told to expect it yesterday, so its release is imminent.

They are two different issues. Brock was trying to retrieve files that didn't exist. The L1A files you need are on the server but getfile cannot retrieve them from the hosts.
We are working on a resolution.

Yes - the internal reader in l2gen is keying off the title: value in the header.

I removed them from the archive until we get a response from NOAA on whether the header change was intentional.In the meantime, if you want to edit the title: value manually, you can grab the files directly from NCEI:https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/data/sea-surface-temperature-optimum-interpolation/access...

The TOAST file typically is ready 6 to 12 hours after the data date of the file.  The file for 05-Aug-2019 should be available soon.
