You encountered "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'requests'" error when you tried to install hawkeye processor. Were you able to install Hawkeye processor?
After that, you also need to do "SeaDAS-OCSSW -> geolocate_hawkeye", before you do l2gen.

Re: SeaDAS 8.1.0 -- MODIS GEO file
Amita,
It looks like modis_GEO is not happy with A2021118173500.L1A_LAC.x.hdf, can you change the file name to A2021118173500.L1A_LAC and do modis_GEO on it?
Here is a past post for your reference: https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/forum/ ... l?tid=7736
Thanks,
Bing

Re: Java Issue on Mac
You need to tell us more. Can you take a screenshot of your l2gen GUI window and post it here?
To help us diagnose, can you also do "SeaDAS-OCSSW -> SeaDAS/System Info" and post the output here?
Thanks,
Bing

Re: seadas 8.1 installation issue
Did you install OCSSW by command line? It seems to me ocssw is in the right place.
I wonder what your OCSSWROOT says when you do SeaDAS-OCSSW -> Configure OCSSW.
Can yo post the output of SeaDAS-OCSSW -> SeaDAS/System Info here?
