l2gen on viirs needs L1A(or L1B) + GEO as input.
What happens when you click "Okay" in that dialog? Are you able to proceed further with l2gen GUI?

Please let us know a few things so we can replicate the error:
1. what version of SeaDAS and what tag of OCSSW you are using.
2. the name of an L1A file you processed
3. command line or GUI
V2022.0 has some issues with naming conventions. Please try R2022.19
