PAR in VIIRS R2018.0 reprocessing

The reason the data show a blocky patch is indeed the seaice masking.  We're using the ice field in the OISST ancillary file for flagging seaice.Previously we used an ancillary file we generated from NSIDC inputs.  They two are not the same, although use the same SSMI source.  In ...

modis_GEO.py error retrieving ephemeris files

The machine running the backend service for getanc.py for v7.3 is no longer happy doing so.   You can either upgrade your complete SeaDAS install to v7.4 or just the scripts directory.To do just the scripts, when in the $OCSSWROOT/run/scripts directory, run git pull followed by git checkou...

It's masked for seaice...perhaps erroneously, but unless I'm missing something, the two images look the same to me - both have blocky blotches.

What does outband_opt mean for l2gen processor for Landsat 8

The outband_opt applies the out-of-band correction for water-leaving radiances.  It is a correction that is used to adjust the sensor to a nominal 11nm square bandpass centered on the nominal wavelengths of the sensor.  It was originally conceived as a means to correct for the significant ...

SeaWiFS processing using mlp

I was just about to respond that the issue was that the file was blank:
ncdump -h S2001252153428.L2_LAC_OC.x.hdf
netcdf S2001252153428.L2_LAC_OC.x {
}

...but I guess you figured that out :grin:

ocssw repo servers don't support --depth?

No, the repository configuration will not be changed ...at least not anytime soon.The bundles exist because we're using git for something git wasn't really intended for - binary file distribution.We discovered early on - but after we committed to using git - that checkouts from remote hosts ...

VIIRS R2018.0 reprocessing

Jacques,Technically, the L1A data are not part of the R2018 reprocessing.  We regenerated them only to ensure that the various very minor code fixes were in and applied to all the data.For the vast majority of the data the L1A data are identical to the data before we regenerated them.  BTW...

Processing of L1A_LAC.x.hdf files

Rename them. :grin: If there is something in the processing stream that isn't happy with the .x.hdf, lop it off.  The files are the same format and our code does process them.Now, as for processing Kd490 at 250m - sure the number of pixels will be higher and you may convince yourself that t...

You can probably just grab the OCSSW_bash.env file, which still points to the old directory structure.
