MODAPS has implemented a code fix for the MODIS/Terra+Aqua Burned Area Monthly L3 Global 500 m SIN Grid Version 6.1 (MCD64A1) data product to correct an error that caused burned grid cells on the edge of certain tiles to be reclassified as unburned. The MCD64A1 V6.1 data product has been reprocessed...

It usually takes almost a year after the final day of the specific year to complete the data. This year however may take a little longer because it is all going to be processed into Version 6.1.

You will receive an email from Earthdata for tracking progress when orders update. Once you receive an email with "Your request has moved from state PROCESSING to CLOSED" the customer needs to look for an email with a subject line stating "Subject: LP DAAC ECS Order Notification Order...

You are correct that tiles in the collection must contain at least 0.01% land area.
