Yes, we do plan to produce the refined product, however we are waiting for the November lunar calibration maneuver before finalizing the calibration assessment. With R2022, we are following the same cadence with refined calibration that we use for the MODIS instruments.

Re: SeaDAS atmospheric correction algorithms
In the l2gen STDOUT output, the "alpha" *is* the angstrom exponent for the model....the product 'alpha' is the polarization angle as Minwei described. The reference for the aerosol models would be: Ahmad, Z., Franz, B. A., McClain,C. R., Kwiatkowska, E. J., Werdell, P. J., Shettle, E.P., &...

Fernando,
This is an unintended consequence of the renaming of the VIIRS L1 files with the recent R2022 reprocessing. We are working to correct the problem.

Re: Find swaths in L1/L2 browser
The current L1/2 browser uses a quadsphere grid with a resolution of 72km, thus the minimum radius. Your search results will not be negatively impacted, although there is a slight possibility that some scenes close to your region of interest but not covering it would be retrieved....but only a very ...

Re: Removing high chlor_a before binning
Andrea, The answer is more a 'not yet'. The binner does do something akin to what you seek, but it's very inflexible. There is a way to set a minimum at run time. The default minimum is zero, but some products are valid with negative values, so we have a way to allow the binner to accept values less...

Re: Seadas aerindex
Matt, With the original Gordon and Wang implementation with 12 aerosol models, it was pretty easy...just ask for: aer_model_min aer_model_max aer_model_ratio aer_model_min and max are the bounding models that encompassed measured epsilon value, ratio is the weighting between them. Then we went to 80...

Re: VIIRS data processed problem
If you run the update_luts script, the polar wander file (as well as other required LUTs) will be retrieved and put in the correct location:
Sean
Code: Select all
$ update_luts viirsn

Re: VIIRS data processed problem
Have you verified that your polar wander file exits and is up to date (i.e. have you recently run update_luts)?
It should be under $OCVARROOT/common/polar_wander.ascii

Re: absorption data due to gelbstoff and detritus at 443nm
The issue is resolved and the color bar is now back on the L3 browser.
