Negative values in SO2 column amount

I am using the "SO2 Column Amount (Planetary Boundary Layer) OMSO2e v003 (OMSO2e v003)" product for my research work, but I am finding a problem in the range of this product. It has ranged from negative values, which is confusing for me. How can the value of sulphur dioxide at any point be...

CERES EBAF Ed.4.0 Data

I am using ERA5 and CERES EBAF Ed 4.0 datasets to extract trends about the Earth Imbalance. I am also comparing different datasets. It appears to be clear that there is a correlation between CERES EBAF 4.0 datasets and ERA5, plotting the monthly averaged reanalysis top net thermal radiation at top-o...

TES/Aura L3 Ozone data

I’m looking for observation data of global surface ozone whereas I discovered the TES/Aura L3 ozone data. However, in the documentation I read that this data shouldn’t be used for scientific purpose.

Are there other products containing global surface data available?

Aqua-CERES Level 2 data

I have two questions about the data named in the fashion "CER_SSF_Aqua-FM3-MODIS_Edition4A_404405.2018060100". 1. How to get the FOV index? The data is compiled in a large vector, how to identify their FOV position in each cross-track? 2. Has the data been done for the view angle correctio...

API Keys

I am trying to access the API Keys I am using to retrieve different data products (MOPITT, MODIS etc). I am logging on the urs.earthdata.nasa.gov but I can not find the way to access the API keys to verify they are still valid or renew them otherwise. Thank you very much in advance Location: https:/...

Re: Data Subset for OMHCHO: OMI/Aura Formaldehyde (HCHO) Total Column 1-orbit L2 Swath 13x24 km V003

Many thanks for the additional information. I understand why it was difficult to crop also the pixel corners due to dimension size restriction. Generally, with the other dataset, I have worked with, an additional dimension of length 4 is created for pixel corners, and hence the size of pixel corner ...

Data Subset for OMHCHO: OMI/Aura Formaldehyde (HCHO) Total Column 1-orbit L2 Swath 13x24 km V003

I want to provide feedback about subset data download for OMHCHO V003 data. In the data subset, almost all the variables are cropped, but the corner points of latitude and longitudes (e.g. PixelCornerLatitudes and PixelCornerLongitudes) are not cropped. Hence they have a different dimension size as ...

Reanalysis data for 36 point locations

Hi,
I'm interested in time series of daily precipitation rate data for 36 point locations in the European Alps from several reanalysis datasets (ERA-interim, ERA-5, NCEP/NCAR, MERRA-2).

Is there a way to obtain this data without the need to download thousands of files?

Albedo data

I am checking the albedo data for one location: lat 37.521, long -1.828. The values are not too bad, but I wonder if they are totally correct or maybe could be better, because of the location is to 25km from the sea. In a previous enquiry (other location), you commented the Nasa grid to check the al...

NLDAS coordinate convention questions

I have a simple question about the coordinate conventions in VIC hourly data. I downloaded these data in netCDF format and am working on translating them to raster format in Python for use in hydrology research. Are the longitude and latitude values to be interpreted as centroids of each grid cell? ...
