Somehow the import shapefile (and other options) are greyed out in SeaDAS version 8.2.0. I am using it with an image projected with l3mapgen. I can put a grid on the image no problem. You have to add the following line as well after source $OCSSWROOT/OCSSW_bash.env:

export PATH=$PATH:$OCSSWROOT/bin
