Temporary cessation of data processing at the OBPG

by OB.DAAC - SeanBailey » Mon Sep 10, 2018 10:19 am America/New_York

The primary database server that manages data production at the OBPG suffered a hardware failure on September 9th.
As a result, all forward stream processing has ceased. Distribution for data already in our archives is unaffected, but
no new data will be ingested, processed or distributed until the production server is back online. Database recovery efforts
are underway and we are hopeful that we will be able to resume normal operations by tomorrow, September 11th.

We apologize for any inconvenience this unexpected outage may cause.

Regards,
Sean

UPDATE:
The database recovery completed earlier today (11 September 2018) and all processing and services are back to normal operations.
