SNPP SST subscription issue

by alaroy » Thu Nov 14, 2019 11:04 am America/New_York

When I query my two SNPP SST subscriptions (2178 - day and 2179 - night) with the file search CGI I get back an empty result set.

I noticed that when I looked in the SNPP direct data access area the files have switched over to the new naming convention so that's probably related.

Did you tick the Extracted radio button next to the Subscription ID field?

Tommy,

No I did not have it checked on (nor have I have I ever checked on since I created the subscriptions).

When I tried checking it on right now I get a bunch of files with USC_SEAPRISM in the filename. Did these subscriptions perhaps get mixed up with somebody else's? I just verified that they show as mine in the subscriptions part of the web site.

OK it's a coincidence that there is an extracted and non-extracted subscription with the same subscription id. So then yes, your SST files are not showing because of the name change. The web programmers are aware of this problem and working on the issue.

*bump*

Has there been any progress? I'm still not getting any L2 SST files from our three VIIRS/NPP subscriptions (2178, 2179 and 2366).

We find OBPG's SST data to be better than the alternatives in some conditions, thank you in advance for any help you can give us on this.

Andrew,

I have been developing a new subscription manager, and have loaded those three subscriptions into my test bed.  You should find some SST files for them starting from sometime yesterday.  They will show up in the file-search results.  Let me know how that works out.
