I was asked if I was able to create a subscription for OLCI L1 data?
The dashboard suggests no, but I was asked to see if the interface had just not been updated?

Brock,

It's on the to-do list.  There are some tricky bits involved because OLCI has two flavors (ERR and EFR) and we've not settled on a solution.  We also don't yet produce the L2s.
We'll probably have that data flow going in a month (no promises) and by then may be able to offer up subscriptions for OLCI.

Sean,

Great news. We plan on incorporating it into one of our product regions as a showcase. So, for instance, we may have MODIST MODISA VIIRS and OLCI in lets say FLKEYS.
We will want the L1 files. I suspect you will provide the option to choose either when you do offer subscriptions?

Cheers, and stay safe!
Brock

Sean,

Any word on subscriptions for the OLCI product subscriptions at all?
I know you guys were deciding on the Full Res or Reduced Res products.
Has that been decided?
I'm asking because if MODISA decides "it is what it is" and that "is" is OVER, then another stream is vital to continued success here.
And the sooner I can get the process underway, the better for me

Cheers,
Brock

Brock,

Sean is out on leave, but we are still planning to implement OLCI subscriptions soon.  I believe the back end is ready, and this could serve as a good way to test it.  The front end still needs to be developed.  If you provided me with the information for the region and data-type flavor (EFR or ERR), i could configure the back end manually.  That would allow us to work out any of those issues while the front end gets developed.

John,

This is wonderful news. I know that we have 39 regions that we currently process for MODIS with a smaller subset of those for VIIRS.
I have asked Brian and Chuanmin to determine what they wanted to start with.
After everything appears to be working, we can them move to expanding to encompass other areas.
I believe that there will be need for both EFR and ERR L1A depending on the area.
For example, my GCOOS and SECOORA regions will be at ERR as they are huge and 1KM, but our QKM area (like Florida Keys or Big Bend) we will want EFR.

When Chuanmin and Brian decide on the areas to start with, I will let you know.

Cheers,
And great news again,
Brock
