Level-2 Coordinates

by avmehta » Sat Jun 20, 2020 7:50 pm America/New_York

Hello,
I am trying to match  pixel location in  OLI, OLCI, and MSI Level-2 image with in-situ data. I colocate according to latitude-longitude of the in situ point measurements data and the lat-lon arrays available in the L2 images. My question is, do I have to re-project the images?
Thank you.
Amita

The latitude and longitude arrays stored in each level-2 file store the locations of every
pixel in the image data, so no, you do not need to re-project to do your match-ups.

Level-2 Coordinates

Thanks Norman.

I have another question I'd appreciate help with.
I have installed OCSSW to process  a number of sensors. If I add a new sensor, do I have to re-install it for all the sensors? To be specific I installed OCSSW for MODIS, OLCI, OLI, MSI. Now I want to add VIIRS and HICO -- so can I just add these two?
Thanks.
Amita

Hi Amita,

I believe you are correct; you only need to install the mission-related files.
